Our Story

Vianys grew up in Barranquilla, Colombia, where she learned how to sew at an early age. Attending a catholic school and being raised by nuns made sewing a daily practice and passionate hobby for her. she also credits her father for teaching her the art the upholstery and gifting her the skills she possesses to this day. Upholstery and design is her gift and passion.

My New Old Chair, Inc, was founded in 1999 when Vianys finally decided to pursue her dreams of business ownership after working in the upholstery industry for several years in other prestigious companies. Located in the heart of Northwood Village in West Palm Beach, FL, My New Old Chair continues to serve it’s community with love and affection for over twenty years.
